Spam filter in /r/science
This is just an announcement to let those know that I will be trying to, in effect, turn off the spam filter in /r/science. I have been very impressed by the community’s ability to flag the right items in the reports tab (it’s not perfect, but it’ll do); from hereinafter, I shall effectively clear the spam filter every now and then, and let reports and downvotes deal with...

I see people like the custom flags. Well, if you want your own, just give me a link to the designs in the comment section explaining what you want, and I’ll try my best!
Writing
Recently I found an old blog of mine, written around one to two years ago. Two years sounds like a very small interval of time, but it is enough to show that I have changed since then. Looking back on this blog, I see forced quirkiness, articles written as knee-jerk reactions and trivial little things I thought mattered.

Made for a friend.
Why would you do that?
In this post, I will be talking about an /r/IAmA post. One not usually seen, one that uses words some would contest the definition of:

“I am a murderer, ask me anything.”
In this post, the poster identifies as male - and from the little he has put on the site there is no point in contesting with this. I mention this...
Disparity in reports
The proportion of reports per subreddit has always intrigued me. Take /r/science and pics, for example. In /r/pics, the number of reports per day was high; I have no official numbers but I can say it’s between 20 and 80. In science, the number of reports per day is very small, in the single digit region sometimes.
The reports by large are for trivial things, such as redditors who think that...
Commenting on '/r/wtf' →
An interesting way to comment on an article. Top comment is full of vitriol, followed by mockery, then fine observation ensues and next is disbelief.
Fly me to the moon, let me... →
A most interesting concept - a free collaboration of aeronautical engineers and scientists to help put together a space mission. Still theory at the moment, but has potential to develop.
Reddiction
To be reddicted to something.
To wish to upmod non-electronic news stories.
To want to make others see reason.
To follow a near-fanatic obsession with the most trivial of things.
